West Lindsey Lottery celebrates its first £25,000 JACKPOT win!

02 April 2024

West Lindsey Lottery is delighted to announce the news of its first jackpot winner who has scooped £25,000.

Since launching, over £55,000 has been raised for our local communities. West Lindsey Lottery is an online sustainable fundraising solution provided by West Lindsey District Council with, believe it or not, no upfront costs. It’s designed to help local not-for-profits to diversify their fundraising streams and enable year-round fundraising in a safe, fun and effective way.

There are over 65 registered causes to choose to help with your ticket purchase. The chosen cause receives 50% of the £1 ticket with an additional 10% going to further support the local community. There are weekly cash prizes to be won up to the value of the £25,000 jackpot and with 50:1 odds of winning a prize you’ll find a bit of fun at the same time as knowing you’re really helping your local community.

Owen Bierley a committee member of Keelby Village Hall and a West Lindsey District councillor was thrilled with the news. He said: “Naturally we are absolutely delighted that one of our supporters won the jackpot. We work really hard to promote the opportunity to residents and greatly appreciate the value of the lottery to our cause. The Committee warmly congratulates our jackpot winner and sincerely thanks all of our ticket holders for their ongoing and greatly valued support."

Keelby Village Hall is a large, well-used, Grade II listed historic building at the heart of the  community.  The building was purchased by the community, for the community and the Keelby Village Hall Committee created to maintain, manage and run it in 1982.  It is entirely volunteer led and run and we are fortunate to have a really able and committed group of people dedicated to its improvement both now and for the future.  Fundraising is key to achieving this and again residents generously support us through many one-off and regular events and our long-running 200 Club.

The Council’s Leader Cllr Young congratulated the winners. He said: “We are so excited to have our first jackpot winner for the West Lindsey Lottery. Our commitment to the West Lindsey Lottery is to enable good causes to raise funds to support their work in our communities. I wholeheartedly congratulate the winner and also Keelby Village Hall for their ongoing and consistent commitment to raise funds for their important community space.”
