Bardney Cemetery Improvement Fund
25 November 2020
We are now several draws in to the West Lindsey Lottery. Playing the lottery gives you a chance of winning up to £25,000 but the Good Causes are the real winners.
Bardney Cemetery Improvement Fund are now selling a few tickets per week, meaning they can purchase items to help with their projects. We caught up with Margaret and asked her about the lottery:
How did you hear about the Lottery?
We heard about the lottery from West Lindsey and from our District Councillor.
Why did you sign up?
We signed up as it seemed an ideal way of fundraising, particularly as it has been incredibly difficult to raise funds in the present times.
How do you encourage your members or community to play?
Our cause has been posted on Facebook. We have a full page advertisement in Bardney Parish Magazine and distribute posters locally. We also mention it at every opportunity!
What’s the best thing about the Lottery?
It’s a great example of a local Council supporting local charities and 60p out of every £1 ticket sold goes directly to the charity. “A win win situation”
